B!G + Dog Trumpet = B!G DOG! at Camelot 17 November will be a family affair, extended family too.

Dog Trumpet’s Pete O’Doherty and Reg Mombassa are actually brothers, making their indelible mark on Australian music as founding members of Mental As Anything. In 1991 they formed their own music vehicle Dog Trumpet with B!G’s John Boy Bliss (The Reels) on drums for the first four years. Their critically acclaimed fifth album River of Flowers is out now.

B!G’s Brendan Gallagher met Pete and Reg on stage at a psychiatric nurses party in Sydney in 1978 playing a Jimi Hendrix song as a solo support for The Mentals. John Boy Bliss played drums on many Mojo TV ads like ‘Good On You Mum’ and ‘I Feel Like A Tooheys’. Reg & Pete were drinking Tooheys when they jumped up to join Brendo for some songs at that party in 1978. B!G’s debut EP UNO is out now.

On 17th Reg, Pete, John Boy and Brendo will dig in and play a few toons together… like old times.
