Dave Mason with Brendan Gallagher

Old Bank Music Shop, 78 Macquarie St, Dubbo NSW

Dave & Brendo are playing a show to coincide with The Band From Dubbo: A History of the Reels exhibition at Western Plains Cultural Centre.

Dave Mason is a singular artist in the Australian music pantheon. Uncompromising, brilliant, and always cool. He penned APRA’s #10 Australian song of all time, Quasimodo’s Dream, and spearheaded THE REELS, the band from Dubbo, into the consciousness of music fans around the world since the late 70s.

Dave’s gift for melody and lyric imagery are the toast of his generation, and the envy of contemporary artists. His songs are as vital as the day they were written and his voice richer and more keening for the benefit of the passing years.

Karma County front man Brendan Gallagher, producer of over forty albums in as many years, including Jimmy Little’s instant classic Messenger, joins Dave on acoustic guitar.

Good music lasts forever.
